Restaurateur Frank Bonanno is gearing up to celebrate the 15th year anniversary of his flagship restaurant, Mizuna. Classically French, Mizuna has become a staple of the dining scene in the Mile High City, one where dishes like the lobster mac 'n cheese, pan roasted foie gras, and crisped veal sweetbreads still reign supreme.

After dinner on Saturday, May 21, the restaurant located on 7th at Grant Street will close its doors. On May 31, it will reveal itself with a replaced kitchen pass, a bricked up back wall (currently clad in wall paper), and with new a round bar, floors, and lighting. It isn't a new look, rather a fresh one in anticipation of the June 3 and 4 anniversary dinner events when a celebratory four-course dinner paired with wine will be offered for $200 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 303.832.4778.

Around the corner at Luca, Bonanno is launching Sunday dinner service with a kick-off party on June 5. A cash bar will be available starting at 5 p.m. with dinner service beginning at 6. Guests are invited to enjoy four types of pasta dishes family-style, for $65 per person. Proceeds of the event go to Eat (Red), an anti-AIDS organization focused on children.
