No more elk or rattle snake or duck sausages in Highlands Ranch

The Highlands Ranch location of Biker Jim's has shuttered last weekend. Owner Jim Pittenger who started his business on a cart launched the 1,300 square foot suburban outpost in August 2014, following three very successful years at his brick and mortar location in the Ballpark neighborhood. But geography, growth in a different direction, and a tight market for restaurant employees made Pittenger decide to close down the shop.

"It is very hard to find stable and reliable employees for a restaurant in this market," Pittenger said. "I just opened at the Ballpark, inside the stadium, and there is likely further room for growth there. I also opened Pop's place very close to the original Biker Jim's. We are just better served by our staff in Denver, as sad as we are to have to leave Highlands Ranch," he added.

There is no word on what will replace the business that was located at 1601 Mayberry Drive.
