Honor Academy, an employee-based college scholarship program, was just launched by fine casual eatery Honor Society. A program created to benefit employees, Honor Academy helps with education, training, and personal development of those who maintain a 3.0 GPA, complete at least 10 hours of community service at a company event, and submit a personal essay to a rolling scholarship application process.
Rob Alvarado, the operating partner at Honor Society calls it "an opportunity for us give back to our employees in a meaningful way, and to help them grow as academics and leaders."
The first scholarship winners, Madison Norwood, Katie Van Treeck, Callista Worthen, and Jayme Ciacio, received $750 towards their 2016 spring or summer college tuition and will receive $500 for each semester thereafter.
