Thirty Five Year Old Downtown Steakhouse Shutters

It is the end of an era for Willy G's Steakhouse but fear not, more steak is coming!

Willie G's Seafood & Steaks shuttered after two decades in Downtown Denver the Denver Post reported. Located at 1585 Lawrence Street, the all-American meat and seafood spot announced its closure on Facebook with this message:

"Thank you to all of our guests and fans over the years! We will be closing our doors today on May 2nd, and we will be transitioning to a Saltgrass Steak House. Thank you for your patronage over the years, and we look forward to serving you as a Saltgrass Steak House."

Houston-based restaurant group Landry's owned Willie G's. The concept they are bringing in the same location this summer, Saltgrass Steak House, has an 50 in multiple states with three of them here in Colorado in Westminster, Parker, and Colorado Springs.
