The food-truck turned barbecue joint closed after six months

Big Country Bar-B-Que owner Darren Byrd gave up on his the Sunnyside spot and shut down operations during the last week of April, according to BusinessDen. The former food-truck operated as a restaurant for six months before officially closing its brick-and-mortar outpost.

Byrd cited multiple factors that contributed to the closure, including a personal injury and the building's faltering condition"The transition from the food truck to the brick and mortar was kind of out of necessity because we'd lost our commissary kitchen and I had to scramble to get another place," he said. "We should have just waited to get a liquor license, but we didn't."

Byrd is currently searching for a new space to host his catering operation.
