A month after leaving her 12-year role as Panzano executive chef, Elise Wiggins has announced her new concept Cattivella, a wood-fired Italian restaurant set to open in the fall in Stapleton's Eastbridge development.
Cattivella will build its menu and space around a wood-fired oven and grill, focusing on traditional Neapolitan pizzas, pastas al forno, and various caramelized dishes.
The kitchen will sit in the center of the restaurant, giving guests a view of the pasta-making and butcher stations. Wiggins will continue to offer her cooking classes in the new space.
The 100-seat restaurant will offer wine, beer, cocktails, and mocktails, opening nightly for happy hour and dinner and serving brunch on the weekends. Additional seating for 100 will be available on a wrap-around patio.
"I can’t believe I’m opening my own restaurant in my own neighborhood, just a few blocks from my own house," Wiggins said. "This project is a dream come true for this naughty chef."
Wiggins joins Chefs Troy Guard and Lon Symensma, as well as The Kitchen Next Door in the Eastbridge development.
