If there ever was a taco-high-time it is this week. The next few days are all about gargantuan taco-centric celebrations, paired with plenty of tequila drink and good times. Top Taco and the Denver Taco Festival are both upon us. Which will you choose to attend?

Over 40 restaurants are competing at the Top Taco Festival which take place on Thursday, June 23 on the CU Denver Field at Auraria. Restaurants like Bar Dough and Comida, Highland Tap & Burger and Tamayo are vying for the titles of the Top Traditional Taco, Top Creative Taco, plus Top Margarita. Guests will not only get unlimited taco tastes but will also have access to over a 100 unique tequila samples (from 40+ brands of Tequila), beer, wine and more. Bonus: Live music from Sambadente. General admission for the 21+ events will open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets costs $69 per person. If you want to come an hour early for an exclusive VIP tasting, you can purchase a "first taste" $90 ticket.

The Denver Taco Festival is a two-day event, taking place this weekend, on June 25 and June 26 in the heart of the RiNo neighborhood at the Glitter Dome (3600 Wynkoop Street). There will be countless tacos, live music, high speed Chihuahua race, and a Tequila Expo. The family friendly event (kids under 12 are free!) also features an adult attraction, the Tijuana Alley. Ticket prices vary depending on the events you are interesting in attending, and can be purchased online.
