Scenes from Aspen's Must-Attend Party: Wine at the Mine

Being on this invite list is a must

In its fifth year, the Wine at the Mine party, an event created and hosted by urban winery the Infinite Monkey Theorem, proved itself to be, once again, the hottest by-invite only event surrounding the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen.

Some 850 guests attended, some of them shuttled up in brand new hot Teslas or a variety of limos. Smuggler's Mine, an active silver mine, was the sight of the shindig that spotlighted some of Denver's best chefs and bartenders from 12 restaurants. Among the highlights, a tequila vending machine, oysters by Seattle Fish served by the RiNo Yacht Club, bites from Abejas, and beers from Oskar Blues. Plus, of course, a lot of Infinite Monkey Theory wine, red, white, rose, sparking or not. Bonus: Chef Kelly Whitaker of Basta teased guests with his new project Aeshes/15B with a variety of spiedini. Eater photographer Adam Larkey captured these moments:
