Middlestate Coffee Grows with Roastery and Tasting Room

MiddleState Coffee, a well-regarded local coffee roaster is growing with its own roasting and tasting room on 4th and Broadway, 303 Magazine reported. The new venue is planned by Jay DeRose, of MiddleState Coffee, and Seanna Forey, of Little Owl Coffee, two companies that merged two years ago.

DeRose operated his roasting operation from a 200-square-foot space in the backroom of Steadbrook, a men’s clothing boutique on Broadway. The new space will give him three times that space but will not compel the former barista to go for a full-fledged cafe. He will conduct tastings and offer coffee drinks to about 12 people at a time, those who are "in the know," he said.
