Sean Kenyon Launches Yelp-Inspired T-Shirt at the Occidental

Bartender Sean Kenyon, whose flagship Williams & Graham, is among for contenders for Best American Bar Team in the Spirited Awards later this week, is nothing if not sincerely irreverent. This weekend, The Occidental, the nearly one year sibling bar to the speakeasy, launched a new t-shirt:

It's a real Yelp review printed on a real t-shirt, now available for purchase at the LoHi neighborhood spot. How exactly did this come about? "We were compiling reviews for a Yelp reading," Kenyon shared. "That one stood out. It was so dramatic. And we love our music."

More than print the review, Kenyon reached out to the Yelper in question and offered her a shirt...and a drink on the house. The review and the corresponding t-shirt "isn't mean-spirited. It's all in good fun," Kenyon explained.

My name is Sean, I am the one of the owners of Williams & Graham & Occidental. Thank you for your feedback and Yelp / Facebook review. We realize that everyone has different musical tastes, but thank you for your positive remarks about the drinks. In good spirits, we made a T-shirt featuring your review. We would like to invite you back for a drink (on us). You can even bring your own music and we'll plug it into our system.
