After serving kombucha and organic frozen yogurts for years with positive results, Danielle and Noah Brooks founded American Cultures in 2015. The duo took to the streets in a refurbished 1948 International Harvester, re-imagining the antiquated vehicle into a funky food truck to take Happy Leaf Kombucha to thirsty customers at events across the Front Range.
A brick and mortar location is now open at 3233 Tejon Street on the ground floor of a condo development, across the street from Jezebel's. Giving patrons the opportunity to taste a wide variety of Colorado-made kombucha – from Heath-Ade to Rowdy Mermaid, Trubucha to JOON Kombucha and many more – guests are welcome to take home reusable growlers, as opposed to the single-serving available at grocery stores. In fact, a neighbor of the new taproom came in peddling his homemade, honey-flavored kombucha and landed his product on the regularly-rotating menu. American Culture's signature treat is the kombucha float, made with Cloud Top organic frozen yogurt. The shop also sells Method Coffee Roasters' cold brew and Rebel Oats oatmeal, for healthy grab-and-go breakfasts. The beverages are all organic and vegan.
