DOWNTOWN — The Nickel at Hotel Teatro hosts City Star Brewing and Declaration Brewing on July 14 for a tap-off to decide which brewery will join its line-up. Declaration's Hardtack Copper Ale faces off against the Rail Ryeder from City Star. Each beer will be paired with a summer tartlet and guests will vote for their favorite pairing. SOUTHEAST — Copper Kettle Brewing releases the Aurora Strong Ale, a fruity and malty dark ale, on Saturday, July 16. The special beer was brewed in honor of the victims of the 2012 theatre tragedy. 20% of the each bomber sold will benefit the ACT Foundation to provide educational opportunities to students with unique gifts and challenges. BERKELEY — Celebrate Call to Arms Brewery's first birthday on Saturday, July 16 with the First Ever Super Awesome Anniversary Fun Fest. CAPITOL HILL — Java McHoppy Face, a new coffee pale ale, makes its debut at Alpine Dog Brewing on Saturday, July 16. For $1, you can take home a Alpine Dog coffee mug when you buy a pour of the new brew. Spudz food truck will be on deck serving breakfast poutine to pair with the beer.
EDGEWATER — Joyride Brewing turns two on Saturday, July and celebrates with a street party that will shut down the street. FU^K, K-Law, and Whillis are some of the musicians that will perform.
