Six months after leaving Bistro Provençal, chef Alain Veratti is seeking a third Denver location for his original Crepes 'n Crepes concept.
Veratti operates two crepe shops, one in Cherry Creek North and the other in Writer Square on Larimer Street. He started in Cherry Creek 12 years ago and opened the second location two years later. Now he hopes to open a shop on the south side of town.
Last fall, Veratti opened Bistro Provençal in Riverfront Park with a menu focusing on the same French region. He said he left by winter due to disagreements about the restaurant's direction with his co-owners.
Bistro Provençal now operates as Little Raven Bistro. The restaurant has a new pan-European menu, with an emphasis on French cooking not limited to the Provence region.
Owner Marina Grigoryeva serves brunch seven days a week, including crepes, cured meats, and omelettes. Small bites of mostly cheeses, as well as chicken wings, and a chicken salad wrap, are available during happy hour. Lunch and dinner items include a Mediterranean salad, French dip sandwich, and beef and potato dumplings.
