Denver Burger Battle 2016
When: Thursday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m.
Where: City Park, Denver Museum of Nature and Science
What: Creators of fifteen great burgers compete for culinary primacy and fame. Competitors include Park Burger, Highland Tap & Burger, Blackbelly, and Masterpiece Kitchen along with eleven other restaurants. There will be beer, cocktails, and pro judging from Tommy Lee of Uncle and Hop Alley and Frank Bonanno from Luca and Bones.

What:The Colorado Wine Industry Development Board hosts an event showcasing twelve winning wines of the 2016 Governor's Cup Competition. Small plates prepared by Colorado's top chefs will complement the wines.

Third Annual Sesh Fest
When: Saturday, August 6 at 2 p.m.
Where: Highland Masonic Events Center, 3550 Federal Boulevard
What: The Sesh Fest returns for another year of celebrating all session beers with dozens of breweries. Participating breweries include Alpine Dog Brewing Co., Fiction Beer Co., and The Post Brewing Co. The event will additionally feature food, games, and music.

The Little Nell Ride & Dine Dinner: Anderson Ranch
When: Thursday, August 11
Where: The Little Nell, 675 E Durant Avenue, Aspen to Anderson Ranch in Snowmass
What: Cyclists are invited for another trip from the Little Nell to Snowmass for a beautiful ride followed by an al fresco dinner prepared by the Element 47 team. Guests will survey and select wines for dinner from the hotel's cellar. Transportation is provided back to the hotel after the dinner.

Eighth Annual Cherry Creek North Food & Wine Event

What: Cherry Creek's best restaurants come together for an eighth year of night of perfect pairings and live music.

Fifth Annual Colorado Caffeine Crawl: Denver
When: Sunday, August 14 at 9 a.m.
Where: 25 business and 63 shops across Denver are participating
What: The Colorado Coffee Crawl stops in Denver for a fifth year to highlight a list of beloved veterans and new recruits. Participating businesses include Denver Bicycle Café, Novo Coffee, and SloHi Coffee Co. Guests receive samples at each location and additional pairings and goodies depending on the location. Explore and support local businesses along a variety of routes during a day of extreme caffeine.
Additional Information: Tickets range from $25-$28 and include an event bag packed with souvenirs and treats.

Pokémon Go Bar Crawl
When: Saturday, August 20 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Across LoDo and RiNo
What: Drink up and catch up in the perennial quest to be a great Pokemon trainer. Participants can enjoy drink and food specials at PokéStops and plenty of lures and gyms along the way. Trade in your ticket for a wristband at Beryl's Brewing Co.
Additional Information: Individual and group tickets are available online. Tickets range from $15-$18.

Tequila, Taco, y Cerveza Festival
When: Sunday, August 21 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Mile High Station, 2027 W Colfax Avenue
What: The party of the summer stops in Denver with a medley of Mexican beers, global tequilas, and local taco styles. Food trucks, live bands, DJs, margaritas, and games complete the celebration.
Additional Information: Tequila samples are included with tickets.
Advance tickets are $30 and recommended for guaranteed entry; general admission tickets will be available on a limited basis on the day of the event. Tickets to the 21+ event can be purchased online.

Jack's Benevolent Backyard Bash
When: Wednesday, August 24 starting at 6 p.m.
Where: The Post Brewing Co., 105 W Emma Street, Lafayette
What: Friends and Post community members unite for a fifth year around Chef Brett "Smitty" Smith's table to eat, drink, and come together to benefit the Autism Society of Boulder County and the Jack Ferrigno Send a Kid to Camp Grant. Over the past four years, the event has raised over $100,000 to send special needs children to summer camp. Local musician Adam Bodine will provide the tunes. Local chefs including Hosea Rosenberg and Ian Clark will prepare courses.

CANCELLED: Monterey Bay Aquarium Go Fish! Sustainable Seafood Dinner

What: The Go Fish! Sustainable Seafood dinner returns with help from the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch chef along with an array of local Denver chefs. Sustainable and scrumptious seafood dishes will be paired with craft beer, wine, and cocktails.

Dio Mio Pop Up at Hop Alley
When: Sunday, August 28 from 6 p.m.
Where: Hop Alley, 3500 Larimer Street
What: Chefs Alex Figura and Spencer White, local pasta aficionados, take over the Hop Alley kitchen to preview the flavors of their upcoming restaurant, Dio Mio. There will be a cash-only bar and gluten-free options are available upon request. Each ticket to the dinner includes one three-course meal and bread service. Large format item tickets and wine pairings are available.

What: The beloved Boulder restaurant's Tastemaker series continues with host Paul Wasserman for a special and enlightening culinary and wine experience. The wine offerings will highlight iconic selections from the Loire Valley and Burgundy producers.
