The Old South Gaylord Street outpost of John Holly's Asian Bistro closed its doors for good earlier this month. Launched in March 2014, the multi-dimensional pan-Asian eatery owned by Cichi Shi and Andy Huang took over the space that previously housed Japon at 1028 South Gaylord. For lunch and dinner, it offered a good selection of sushi but also Chinese specialties, plus Thai, Korean, and Singaporean dishes.
A note on the door of the Wash Park restaurant shared the news of the shutter, thanking loyal customers who have frequented the establishment for the last two + years.
The other remaining location of the restaurant under the same ownership, which is set at 2422 South Downing Street, stays open and continues to serve lunch and dinner daily, with takeout or delivery being offered. The Lone Tree outpost shares many of the menu items, but is no longer associated with the original operators.
