After four years on the job, talented bartender Allison Widdecombe is stepping away from Williams & Graham, the LoHi speakeasy. Her last day was Thursday, August 11. "It's bittersweet," the bartender said, "but I really need a change. I have loved every moment of being here and these guys have become my family. It's just time for me to figure out what my next thing should be and I realized that I can't focus enough to find that next thing as long as I am here." For the time being, Widdecombe will run the bar program at The Way Back, a still-new hot spot co-owned by Williams & Graham alum Chad Michael George.
Nearby at Union Station, Mercantile Dining & Provision is saying goodbye to bar manager Stuart Jensen who has been with the restaurant since its opening in September 2014. "It has been an awesome two years," Jensen said. "I got to work with an amazing team and I learned a lot. I am excited to spend some time with my fiancee and weight some new opportunities," he added. His last shift will be brunch on Sunday, August 14. The restaurant has yet to announce who is stepping in to fill Jensen's big shoes.
