Avanti Food & Beverage, a collection of small start-up eatery housed under one cool roof, served by a couple of bars, is a bit of a phenomenon, yet not an unlikely one. The building itself is a reason to visit. Set in LoHi, the repurposed two-level warehouse offers two communal dining areas and bars. The eateries are housed in shipping containers, giving the space a modern industrial edge. A stunning rooftop patio brings some of the best views of the Downtown skyline.
If that rooftop patio is the reason for waiting in line to get in on a busy night, it is the food and drinks that makes guests stay. The cocktails are some of the best in town, the progressive beer program ever-changing, and the dining options varied enough to please all tastes. There is MiJo, an Asian-influenced eatery; Brava, a wood-fired pizza spot; the Venezuelan-inspired Quiero Arepas; and the most recent addition, the Regional, which celebrates American classics. One level up, Bixo Mediterranean Bites, chef Marco Gonzales shares his modern takes on Mediterranean cuisine; Souk Shawarma, brings a taste of Lebanese food; and Portland-born Bamboo Sushi takes care of any sashimi and sushi roll cravings.
On any night, Avanti is among the most fun dining experiences in the Mile High City. On a weekend night, it is a scene you will want a piece of.
