The Post Brewing Co. and the Little Nell Host Fundraisers for Local Charities

AURORA — The Canoe Room at North Dock is now open on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. for special summer extended hours. Now you can hit up the beloved Dry Dock brewery four afternoons each week instead of three.

ASPEN — Raise funds for the community and Aspen Homeless Shelter with the Little Nell on Wednesday, August 24, as Denver's top chefs compete for the best barbecue plate where you are the judge. Participating chefs include Chef JD Baldridge from Ajax Tavern and Chef Taylor Wolters from Rustique Bistro. The event includes music, dancing, drinks, and a live silent auction. LAFAYETTE — Wednesday night philanthropy has another pit stop at The Post Brewing Co. at the fifth annual Jack's Benevolent Bash in honor of the Autism Society of Boulder county. Each course of the six-course meal is prepared by a different local chef and matched with a different beer. RINO — Calling all beer-lovers with a sweet tooth: Blackshirt Brewing Co. hosts a four-course beer and pie pairing with The Long I Pie Shop this Wednesday, August 24, starting at 6 p.m. Featured pies include a peach crumble pie and sangria pie. BERKELEY/HIGHLAND — On Wednesday, August 24, The Way Back and Ratio Beerworks unite for a tasting of the bars' cocktail concoction, Major Nights Lime Gose, at The Way Back. The mildly tart and salty wheat beer is dry hopped with approximately 400 hand-zested limes and originally debuted last year as a collaboration with local band, The Knew, as The Knew Schmew. The tasting runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m..

RINO — It's another round of brush bristles and beer at Mockery Brewing's bomber painting party on Wednesday, August 24. Starting at 6 p.m., participate in a step-by-step instructional painting class paired with music and booze. The class is $40 and includes materials, instruction, and one beer.
