Last week, Jesse Morreale announced his return to the Denver restaurant scene with a quick-to-open venture collaboration with Larimer Associates/City Street Investors for which the details were vague.
Our prediction on the location - 3759 Lipan Street - was confirmed today when the former owner of El Diablo and Rockbar also announced that his culinary partner is Goose Sorensen of Solera. "We're old friends, and share a passion for delivering good food and experiences," Sorensen shared. "It's great working with Jesse to build a menu that people like me, in the business, can have fun with. It's uncomplicated, fun food."
No menu was released, but Morreale shared that "the goal is to create an authentic and unpretentious hang out, serving up a healthy dose of nostalgia alongside elevated yet affordable comfort food and blue-collar cocktails, with 20 beers on tap." He also promised that some of El Diablo and Rockbar's fan favorites will be part of the offerings.
The upcoming eatery, which will open in September, will have some tvs for those eager to catch a game, and it will serve dinner, late night bites, and brunch on the weekends.
