A project that was announced eighteen months ago, Punch Bowl Social Stapleton, has finally broken ground and began construction following receipt of long-delayed building permits on September 14. This second location of the eatertainment-based concept is planting roots at the air traffic control tower of the former Stapleton Airport off Central Park and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards.

A four year old business with several locations across the country already, including in cities like Austin, Portland, and Detroit, Punch Bowl will expand its Denver reach with this soon-to-be 22,0000 square foot two-level space (from an original 15,000 square-foot) that will accommodate up to 600 guests with both indoor and outdoor dining and gaming areas. Becky Stone of OZ Architecture has designed both the interior and exterior of the coming attraction.

The vibe, menu, and general approach to entertainment will be in line with that of the original location at 65 Broadway. That, of course, includes the newly released menu curated by rock star southern chef Hugh Acheson.

The Stapleton location is expected to open in the spring of 2017.
