Sonder Coffee and Tea, a new independent coffee shop, opened its doors at the border of Aurora and Denver at 9731 E Iliff Avenue. With an artisan commitment to its caffeinated creations, Sonder features locally-roasted Corvus coffee in a sleek contemporary space with natural wood accents dotted with succulent plants. The venue is hosting a grand opening on Saturday, October 1. The High Point Creamery's artisan ice cream truck will make an appearance between 12 and 4 p.m., friends from Happy Leaf Kombucha will sample their goods throughout the day, and Glazed & Confused donuts will be available for sale. Additional details are available online.

In North Park Hill, Commonwealth Coffee Roasters quietly launched its brick and mortar this week. The new spot is located at 5225 East 38th Avenue and it offers a full espresso drink menu in its hip industrial-chic. It is open on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
