Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR), an Ohio-based group that owns several concepts with multiple locations including Ocean Prime, will open Marcella's, an Italian cafe. The upcoming 5,250-square foot space set at in LoHi at 2505 18th Street (18th and Central), was originally slated to become the Rusty Bucket, a casual pub, part of a group also related to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.

There are two locations of Marcella's already open, both of them in Columbus, Ohio. "Expanding our Marcella's concept is something we've aspired to do for a long time," said David Miller, president and chief operating officer, CMR. "We waited until we found a location that would complement the concept and provide guests with a unique dining experience they didn't have nearby."

When it opens next summer, Marcella's will seat approximately 165 guests inside and 42 on the patio. Signature dishes will include wood-fired pizzas, pastas, lasagna alla Bolognese, chicken Marsala, veal limon and the ever popular Marcella's braised veal meatball. Wine will be a big part of the program with a selection of 50 Italian wines being offered by the bottle or quartino.
