Boulder's FATE Brewing Company Expands to Lafayette

The small town is getting another brewery and restaurant

Three year old FATE Brewing Company, which was born in Boulder at 1600 38th Street, is growing with a Lafayette location, the Daily Camera reported. The new venture will launch in February 2017 in a 5,380-square-foot spot that will house a brewery and as well as a restaurant. The space, previously home to Lunada's Cantina and Thai Kitchen, is located in Lafayette Marketplace — also called The District — at Highway 287 and W South Boulder Road.

Since it launched, FATE has seen serious growth that prompted the desire to expand."At the end of 2014, we increased our fermentation capability by more than 80 percent in our brewpub. That growth meant we were at capacity in our current brewery footprint," said Mike Lawinski, owner and founder of FATE to the Daily Camera. "The acquisition of the additional square footage and brewery equipment from Avery enables us to increase our distribution and offer our loyal fans even more opportunities to enjoy our craft beers and chef-inspired eats."

FATE is not the only expansion headed to Lafayette. William Oliver's, a bacon and whiskey centric spot born in Fort Collins, will open its doors later this year at 201 N. Public Road on a corner that until 2009 housed La Familia, a Mexican restaurant.
