Music and Barbecue Spot Globe Hall Changes Hands

Founder Jeff Cornelius promises that things will stay the same

What started as a labor of love for owner Jeff Cornelius became a community spot for the quickly gentrifying Globeville area and changes are on the horizon. Starting on February 1, Globe Hall is getting a new owner. Cornelius is stepping down to spend more time with his wife and young son and selling the fourteen month business to Scott Campbell.

The music promoter for AEG Live Rocky Mountains is no stranger to bar ownership. He operates popular Denver bars and music venues Larimer Lounge, close to Globe Hall, and Lost Lake Lounge on East Colfax, and he is excited about adding one more outlet to his portfolio. "From the restaurant perspective, nothing really will change, " Campbell shared. "Our chef, Orlando Navarro, is staying on and we are planning to continue with the current menu. The only change will be to the audio system which will get an upgrade," he continued.

Cornelius said this about the transition: "Scott is the perfect operator to help Globe Hall thrive in a very competitive food and music scene here in Denver. I'm really proud of what we've built, and I look forward to returning for many years to come."
