Get ready to “dine hard” at chef and restaurateur Troy Guard’s latest creation, FNG, when it debuts this fall. Once hoping for a June arrival, Guard and his TAG Restaurant Group refer to their project as a “new bad ass concept in the Highlands” aiming for a revised November opening date.
That names comes from an abbreviation of “F’n Great, Food, Beer & Service.” FNG describes itself as a neighborhood eatery, serving elevated comfort food built around a menu featuring small plates, charcuterie made in house and seasonal entrees.
The restaurant takes over the former home of the Highlands Asian Grill at 3940 W. 32nd Ave., sitting next door to Blue Pan Pizza. The 3,500-square-foot interior plans to have a wood-fired grill and a “killer classic ambiance!”
In addition to the already promised sandwiches, burgers and steaks, the bar at FNG will concentrate on whiskey, comfort cocktails and 20 craft beers on tap.
