Grand Re-Opening of Santa Fe Cookie Co. Takes Place This Week

Alexis McLean continues the tradition, recipes and philosophy of her late aunt Debbie Kuehn at the back-in-business Santa Fe Cookie Co.

Now serving during the work week inside the same lower-level corner spot at the Republic Plaza, Debbie “The Cookie Lady” earned a very loyal following for her cash-only bags of cookies. McLean will formerly relaunch the space with a grand opening on Thursday, Oct. 19.

Attendees can look forward to free coffee, new cookie flavors and the first monthly special from Debbie’s cookbook.

Among the future changes, a new $2 for three cookies policy, using the same honor system of letting customers pick up a bag at the counter and dropping the cash into a countertop jug. And on the way, cupcakes, scones, coffee cake, in addition to established favorites like peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, almond crisp, and pecan praline.
