The team behind Historians Ale House closes in on their unveiling of the RiNo Beer Garden on the corner at 3800 Walnut St., four miles north of their South Broadway watering hole.
The beer garden, already hiring, replaces popular neighborhood bar Jake’s Sports & Spirits, which shuttered back in May after a seven-year run.
The new venture, described as German-inspired, will expand on the already substantial 100 seat and dog-friendly patio of its predecessor. Jake’s creators, Andy Feinstein and Martin Chernoff, who are leasing the space to the new project, have called the new owners “some very awesome people.”
Among the interior improvements comes the addition of new booth seating and BusinessDen reports the plan is to install as many 80 taps concentrated on pouring Coloradan brews, as well as update the kitchen.
Historians Ale House debuted in 2013 and features a menu of lunch, dinner, brunch and daily pub grub food specials.
