Punch Bowl Social Stapleton earmarked Nov. 18 for its first official night of festivities. The new lounge found inspiration in a cleverly re-purposed space that was remodeled on the site of the former Stapleton International Airport.

The local Punch Bowl team completely overhauled the dilapidated former Stapleton Airport air traffic control tower and created a 15,000-square-foot night and day destination, including a bar, restaurant, bocce courts, ping pong tables, arcade games, private karaoke rooms and the brand’s signature bowling lanes, along with a 14,000-square-foot patio.

A Southern-inspired kitchen will serve a menu from culinary partner and celebrity chef Hugh Acheson, plus a craft beverage program is in the works.

The interior design features retro-nods to the building’s aviation past, with the second floor “moon patio” heading into Space Age territory. While the option is still open for the future, all the action will initially take place on the bottom two floors, not inside the 12-story control tower.

Full “debaucherous details” of the opening night are promised soon.
