Bittersweet News: Breck on Blake, part of the Wynkoop family, closed its doors Sunday to make way for the second location of Cherry Cricket, also owned by Wynkoop. The closure of the original Breckenridge Brewpub has been planned for about a year now, since Cherry Cricket caught fire last November. Now, with the original Cherry Cricket revamped and reopened, the owners are refocusing on the new spot. When it opens in spring 2018, the new Cherry Cricket will include all of the old location’s signature touches, but in a larger, “better looking” atmosphere. [Denver Post]

Spiked Eggnog News: By the owners of Wayward and The Way Back, a Christmas-themed cocktail popup is coming to Little Raven Street next week. Miracle on Little Raven will take up a cozy space next to Wayward restaurant, and it will be covered in Christmas cheer from the decorations to the drinks menu. Expect concoctions such as the hot Bad Santa, with mulled red wine, tawny port, orange liqueur, spices, and golden raisins. Custom festive glassware also will be available for purchase, with some proceeds going toward Action Against Hunger. [5280]

Curry News: Your homemade curries just got a little tastier. This month the founder of cult-favorite Biju’s Little Curry Shop expanded his reach to home cooks, with a new line of South Indian spices, 5280 reports. Biju Thomas created six spice blends, sourced directly from small farms in his native Kerala, and he’s now selling them online and in his two restaurants. Soon, they’ll also be available at Whole Foods Markets. And watch out for sauces and packaged snacks to add to the collection. [5280]

Ramen Burger News: One-year-old Corner Ramen in the Cole neighborhood makes for a good weekday lunch spot, according to Westword. Located in the former home of iconic barbecue restaurant Daddy Bruce’s, Corner Ramen now sells another iconic American dish, of sorts. The ramen burger is made up of noodles fashioned into patties and replacing the otherwise boring bun of a hamburger. So how does it possibly hold up? Perhaps you’ll just have to experience this for yourself. [Westword]
