Fast-casual Crushed Red Urban Bake & Chop Shop closed this week at Belleview Station in Denver Tech Center. The St. Louis pizza and salad restaurant opened in 2015 in South Denver at the suburban mixed-use development.
Reasons for the closure were initially unclear. The Crushed Red at Westminster’s Orchard Town Center, a separate franchise, continues to operate. Following the openings of the Westminster and DTC stores, franchise owner Jimmy Merlo had initially planned to open four more Crushed Red locations around Denver. Merlo was not immediately available for comment.
Meanwhile, Ambli, a globally inspired cafe, has opened a few doors down at 6799 E. Belleview Avenue. RiNo-based Sushi-Rama is on its way, as is Highland Tap & Burger, expected to open in early 2018. And Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse will start accepting reservations in the Tech Center in December. The new tenants join Corvus Coffee, Los Chingones, and Urban Egg, among other restaurant and retail outlets.
