Winner winner, two new chicken dinners are coming to Denver this month. Yellowbelly Chicken, a Vail-based fast-casual restaurant, will open Friday at the Arvada Marketplace and Wednesday, December 13, at Whole Foods Market in Belmar. In addition to dinners, both stores will serve lunch starting at 11 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively. These are Yellowbelly’s fourth and fifth locations, following the original Vail store’s expansion to Boulder and Aurora, at the Stanley Marketplace.
Yellowbelly sells hormone-, antibiotic-, and gluten-free fried (and roasted) chicken, as well as Southern-leaning sides, salads, vegan and vegetarian options, and kids dishes. For the opening at Whole Foods next Wednesday, radio station KBCO will be on-site giving away Lumineers tickets.
