Two awesome things are happening: LoDo is getting a cool new bar and talented bartender Mike Henderson is returning to the cocktail scene after departing Edible Beats, the restaurant group that owns Linger, Root Down, Ophelia's, and Vital Root.
Henderson is furiously working on Poka Lola Social Club, the lobby bar that will launch when the Maven Hotel opens this spring. The attraction will be a signature concept that will complement some of the other features of the soon-to-open hotel and retail center. The features include a second outpost of Kachina Southwestern Grill, a restaurant that first launched in Westminster with a menu that highlights dishes like green chile burgers, posole, Navajo tacos and more. Chef Jeff Bolton, who has helmed the Westminster outpost since 2013, will move down to the new spot in LoDo.
Also among the highlights is the yet-to-be-confirmed in the building is a new food hall from chef Frank Bonanno who, we have strong reasons to believe, will bring back Lou's Hot Chicken in a brand new context.
