It was a dream come true for chef Caroline Glover to open Annette. The wood-fire centric restaurant, located at 2501 Dallas Street, inside the still-developing Stanley Marketplace, launched last weekend and brought with it lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch served in a personal style that Glover honed through her training at the Culinary Institute of America and her work for well-recognized chefs like April Bloomfield and Steve Redzikowski.
There's simplicity to the tightly edited menu that showcases meats, fish, and vegetables, kissed by the grill that steals the spotlight in the kitchen. The same detail-oriented and seemingly effortless simplicity translates to the décor, one dominated by black , white, and gray with muted blue accents and artfully mounted photos that dot the walls without overwhelming them. Eater photographer Adam Larkey took a tour of the restaurant and shared the images below.
Note that Annette is closed for dinner on Sundays and all day on Tuesdays.
