On Pi Day, John Hinman, the mastermind behind Hinman’s Bakery, finally opened a retail outlet at his previously wholesale-only business located at 4850 E 39th Ave on the edge of the Park Hill neighborhood.
The bakery launched with what Hinman calls a revolving menu of items for breakfast and lunch. For now, the business operates as a grab-and-go one, with very limited seating. Every day, there will be two breakfast sandwiches and two or more lunch sandwiches. For example, there is a chorizo, and egg sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar bun also egg, sausage and cheddar on a homemade biscuit. Lunch is an Italian Muffaletta, a Meatball Sub, and one more to be decided.
There will always be croissants and other breakfast pastries for guests plus desserts to take home, fresh breads and, of course, Laws Bourbon Pecan pies, cherry pies, lemon pies, and more.
The bakery is open every weekday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
