Backyard on Blake Gets its Coffee Fix

Backyard on Blake, one of so many new commercial developments in RiNo, has invited a wide array of tenants, from The Preservery to Spinster Sisters’ natural skin care, to The Parlour hair salon. But there was something missing – a quaint, coffee-focused cafe didn’t make its way to the nook until these last few days of March, with Blue Sparrow Coffee.

The clean, intimate new cafe was designed with gray and white patterned concrete tiles, white walls of varying styles and materials, shelving with organized odds and ends for purchase and cerulean blue accents scattered throughout. Garage doors lift to connect to the Backyard community, making the small space seem more open.

Serving coffee from multiple local roasters, the menu, hand-written on a large scroll of packing paper, with espresso drinks and specialities, including a matcha latte. Blue Sparrow also features on tap nitro cold brew, cold brew iced tea, Japanese iced coffee and kombucha.
