The Trend Report: Open Table reviewers generally enjoyed the aesthetic of the hip RiNo restaurant, but not the construction noise of nearby developments and the loud music. Trendy dishes like poke bowls, duck confit tacos and - of course - the king crab pleased diners. Despite the somewhat smaller portions, diners generally agree that they were pleased with the stylish and quality food. Hint: consider a heavier coat if you dine in the winter months to cope with the glass garage doors. [OpenTable]

Hit or Miss Service: The few Facebook users that left reviews for Mister Tuna cited apathetic and occasionally forgetful service. One customer felt that their server "could not have cared less is [they] were happy or not" and provided slow service. Another diner who complained of mistimed dishes and a poor preparation of lamb felt that their overall dining experience was lacking communication and consistency. Overall, the three diners out of 49 reviews felt that their two-star experiences failed to meet their expectations. [Facebook]

The Hot Dish: In a round-up of January's 30 hottest dishes, Zagat praises the seductive king crab dish. A brown better sauce balanced with chopped apple and punctuated with black lava salt. The article admits that the Zagat was reminiscing about this dish when mentioning Mister Tuna in the 2016 wrap-up of Denver's sexiest restaurants. [Zagat]

The Funk and the Fun of It: Though the name may be somewhat dismaying, Westword agrees that Mister Tuna and its offerings "straddles the same fun-fine line" of homey and exotic. The seductive space transitions well from sunny afternoons on the patio to sultry summer nights inside. Here, the blasting music is found charming and adhering to the saying that "[i]f it's too loud, you're too old." The hybrid raw bar, appetizer and entree menu is "a roster that feels refreshingly smart" and trasitions with an easy grace. Guard's new concept is approved as having "an appealing maturity" that keeps diners of all ages coming back. [Westword]
