The Craigslist post that seeks kitchen staff for the upcoming venture is below and offers more details on what's to come:
Black Shirt Brewing Co, a very busy craft brewery and live music venue with a stellar reputation for crafting high-quality beer and providing exemplary customer service, is opening a casual food concept in our existing space in the very near future. Our focus is on delicious artisanal pizza, vibrant and delicious salads, and a concise but deliberate dessert selection.
We are currently hiring for the position of kitchen manager and we're looking for someone with proven management skills and great leadership in addition to experience on the burners or behind the peel. Our taproom is busy and getting busier and busier all the time -- especially as our patio and beer garden -- rated "Denver's Best Taproom-Patio" -- open for the Summer. The ideal candidate would understand the vision of our founders, have an obsession about bread and baking, be super excited to build an incredible concept and a tight team of people, and be willing to work tirelessly to bring all of this together. We are looking for someone who is technologically savvy, organized, efficient, and who is capable of critical thinking, problem solving, and possesses excellent communication skills. If this is you, please email a resume and cover letter with "Kitchen Manager" in the subject line. Please include a quick description of yourself along with a few compelling reasons that you are the right one for the job.
In addition, we're hiring several full-time and part-time prep and line cooks. For these positions, we are looking for people with an open schedule, a willingness to work long hours and do repetitive work while still maintaining a positive attitude and a desire to do whatever it takes to ensure the success of the team. We can train knife skills, baking prowess, etc. -- but we can't change your work ethic, your values, and your commitment to excellence. These are the qualities you should highlight in order to stand out from other applicants. If this sounds like you, please email a resume and cover letter with "Line Cook" in the subject line along with a short bit about why Black Shirt is the right place for you and vice versa.
