For one night only, Frasca Food and Wine became home to acclaimed chef Nancy Silverton. The restaurateur, iconic baker, chef, and author has been recognized, among other honors, with James Beard Foundation awards for Outstanding Chef and Outstanding Pastry Chef. A Los Angeles icon, Silverton, whose career includes Spago, founding Campanile and La Brea Bakery, and most recently crushing at Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza, and Chi Spacca is also the subject of one an episode of this season of Netflix's Chefs Table - an Emmy nominated series.

She was in town last night for a sold out, packed house guest chef dinner that gave those in attendance a taste of her newest book, Mozza at Home - and a signed copy of it to take home. There were marinated olives with Pecorino, braised artichokes, and a Mozza caprese among the antipasti, an endive and fennel salad before the sausage and Swiss chard orecchiette, followed by a family-style porcini-rubbed with salsa verde and scallion, served with several sides. The sweet ending was a polenta cake with bruti ma buoni topping. The photo gallery gives the rundown of the event.
