The food truck trend took off in Denver just around the time Civic Center Eats became a thing. What started at Civic Center park as a farmers market over a decade ago, became a lunch destination filled with food trucks eight years ago. At first on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Wednesday added to the mix last year, Civic Center Eats grew into a summer tradition that gathers the most sought-after eateries on wheels to the delight of Downtown works, tourists, and more.
The lineup of vendors this year includes 69 business that will alternate dates with over 20 being present each of the scheduled dates. They include the Roll It Up Sushi Truck, Spud Nation, Woof - Wing & Fin, the Colorado Pig Rig, Steuben’s, and AikoPops. Bonus: There will be live music and shaded seating is available for lunch-goers.
Civic Center Eats re-launches on Tuesday, May 2 and will be in full swing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through October 5, 2017 (excluding June 1, July 4, August 9, 30, 31, and September 5).
