After Nearly Two Decades, Dazzle Switches Locations

The iconic music venue is taking a leap into the former Baur’s space

After nearly two decades on Lincoln, on a strip that has seen many bars and restaurants come and go, Dazzle, a staple of the live jazz scene, announced a big move. In the next couple of months, it will pack up its stage and booze (and minimal food) and will trek just a few blocks down to 1512 Curtis Street. The live music business will swoop into the historic Baur’s space, one that has been home to a recently closed restaurant and that still operates (for several shows) as a music venue.

Here are the details as released on the Dazzle Facebook page:

DazzleJazz has been a staple in the Denver art scene for almost two decades. The venue prides itself on hosting a multitude of Colorado-based artists and has earned its place as a Denver icon.

After many years at their location on Lincoln Street, the club is happy to announce that on June 1st, Dazzle will be moving to the historical grand Baur’s Building on the corner of 15th and Curtis. Within walking distance of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Auraria Campus, Dazzle hopes to continue its legacy as an institute of art and culture in downtown Denver. In the new gorgeous historic location, Dazzle will completely immerse its patrons in a vibrant and authentic atmosphere that perfectly accompanies the sounds, sights, smells, and tastes of the best Colorado must offer.

The new space will feature a main stage for music, and a gallery stage to showcase exquisite and unique works done by some of Colorado’s finest local artists. The new set up will allow more room for guests to fully take in the incredible talent of Dazzle's featured musicians and artists.

Michael Schreier, Music Curator for Dazzle also announced a collaboration with the Music Appreciation Society. "It is with great fanfare that we announce that two of Denver's great cultural

music programs will come together in collaboration to curate local and national musical performances." The new space will offer a unique experience upon entering the grand foyer. Our hostess staff will greet guests and seat them in our restaurant or listening room surrounded by historical pieces celebrating the 19th century opening of the Baur’s Building. Guests will be offered a new menu with culinary treasures created by our culinary team. Our new stages will provide the ultimate listening experience.

The rooms will receive an acoustical treatment by Colin Bricker of Mighty Fine Productions.

Personal experiences, passion for music and community have inspired our closing events in May. With the final curtain on May 21st featuring Tyler Gilmore and the Ninth and Lincoln Band, the

original jazz music director for Dazzle.
