Japanese restaurant Menya, which already has two locations in Denver, is branching out into Commons Park, BusinessDen reported. Owner J.W. Lee leased 1,600 square feet at 1590 Little Raven Street, a space that has already housed Little Raven Bistro, which shut down a few months ago, and Bistro Provençal, which attempted to make it there last summer. Zengo and La Guerra just shuttered a couple of doors down, but Wayward promises to breathe new life into the area later this year.
Menya, which plans to open on July 1, will bring noodles and reasonably-priced fast-casual dishes like karaage chicken, shumai, gyoza, and more. A kiosk or walk-up counter where guests can order ramen dishes will be a highlight.
The two existing locations of Menya are in Greenwood Village outpost at 5910 S. University Boulevard where the focus is sushi and on the 16th Street Mall location at 951 16th Street where guests come in for the noodles. Lee also owns a sushi spot in the Belmar area, Wasabi Sushi.
