After 20 years slinging beers and hosting some epic Irish-themed parties, Fadò Irish Pub has called it quits in LoDo. The spot, located at 1735 19th Street, shared the news through its website and social media.
Here’s the announcement shared on Facebook:
We've had a great run at LoDo in Denver. For 20 years, we've had so many good times, great customers and wonderful managers and employees. Thank you.
It's with a heavy heart that we close our doors but it's time to move.
We're looking for a new location in Denver and we hope to re-open soon. Thank you so much for your past patronage and your loyalty, we will see you down the road.
Slainte,
The Fado Denver Team
On one hand, there is hope that it will return. On another, this seems to be part of a trend of recent closures that fits into Denver’s changing dining and drinking landscape. Are Irish pubs no longer cool? Connor O’Neill’s closed in Boulder recently, the Celtic Tavern left LoDo last year and the Tilted Kilt turned into Burnt Barrel. There is one addition to Irish pubs: Celtic on Market at 1400 Market Street.
