The gargantuan milk can resting on the hillside of 16th Street beckons people of all ages, all summer long. You can be sure, Little Man Ice Cream has a line stretched up and around the entire block as soon as warm weather hits.
Presenting flavors like salted Oreo, horchata and savory maple pecan, the line is worth the wait. Sweet toothed guests may come for the ice cream, but they stay for the entertainment. The summer calendar is packed with a variety of events each day of the week, sans Sundays.
Weekly Moonlight Mondays feature big band jazz standards and Tricky Tuesday features a magician. A Scoop of Jazz each Wednesday welcomes Alejandro Castano’s Cool Cats. Thursday nights’ shakeups include open mic nights, trivia and bingo and a silent disco. Little Man has a feature film every Friday and Kenny Nelson’s Swingin’ Denver crew teaches dance lessons alongside live bands on Saturday evenings.
