After a seven year run, the owners of the small but bustling LoHi SteakBar, have decided the neighborhood destination was due for facelift, and so will close the space for three weeks beginning Monday, June 26. Following the closure, guests can anticipate a fresh look and feel. The overhaul of the corner location at 3200 Tejon Street will include new furniture, lighting, wall coverings, ceiling treatments, floors and exterior signage.
Despite the aesthetic reinvention, the eatery’s straightforward menu will return unchanged, with favorites including the hand-cut steaks, classic pommes frites, fresh mussels and salmon, hand-shucked oysters and house-ground burgers. Salads, soups and sides, including the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are pleasantly consistent.
The Americana steak house’s custom cocktails will remain the same as well, perfectly complimenting late night weekly specials. The venue’s next door daytime coffee shop will close at the same time, though the expected reopening date has yet-to-be determined.
