A staple of the Denver dining scene since 1976, Las Delicias closed its flagship location with little notice in mid-September 2015 prompting speculation that the remodeling announced was just a pretext to close. The skeptics were thankfully wrong about the four decade old spot originally opened by Robert and Norma Torres. On Wednesday, July 12, the original Las Delicias will relaunch its home at 439 East 19th Avenue with a party, new look, and new menu items.
Known for friendly staff, a family-friendly vibe, and a commitment to authentic Mexican cuisine made with fresh ingredients, this more contemporary Las Delicias 2.0 features upgraded bar service and new server uniforms, among other changes. It may have taken nearly two years but the addition of a serious rooftop patio should be a good consolation prize for those who couldn’t get enough of the Torres’ fajitas at the other four locations of the family-owned eatery.
Two parties — one on Wednesday, July 12 from 6 to 10 p.m. and another on July 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. — welcome guests to celebrate if they first rsvp here.
