A neighborhood staple in Wash Park, the Kentucky Inn (890 South Pearl Street) is ready for a refresh, which is why a shutter notice has been announced on the business’ Facebook page. On Sunday, July 23, the watering hole is throwing a closing bash before the remodel that starts the day after.
Late last fall, the bar was purchased by Richard Salturelli from previous owners purchased by Dave Bryan and Lisa Bryan, who also run the Candlelight Tavern in the area. An industry veteran whose resume includes CityPub & Burger, Blake Street Tavern, and the Cherry Cricket, Salturelli made improvements since taking over. TV screens were added for serious sports watching; an impressive line up of beers was built that is now up to 54 kinds; the kitchen expanded its menu.
And now it is time for improvements that require a temporary closure. Before that starts, these are the specials offered for the grand closing party:
Every pint is $3!
$2.50 Craft cans
$2.50 All bottles
$3 Wells
$4 select shots
$4.25 Jamo
$4.50 Rumple
