Four More Restaurants Shuttered Their Doors

One year old Blueprint Bar is no more

While there is a lot to look forward to as far as restaurant openings for the coming fall, eateries continue to shutter at an alarming pace. The latest victims: Blueprint Bar, two locations of A-Town Pizza, and Chow Urban Grill.

Thirteen month old Blueprint Bar, located at 450 East 17th Avenue in Uptown, was the second act from Ryan DiFranco. The wine and cocktail bar that also had a food menu had replaced Caveau in the Uptown space. DiFranco shared the he sold the business and that the new owners wish to remain anonymous until they are ready to make a formal announcement about the new concept they are planning.

Both locations of A-Town Pizza, one opened in late 2012 and another one in May 2015, are closed. The pizzerias have been seized by the City of Aurora, according to 9News. Documents show that the businesses owned by Will and Jesse Harris have nearly $30,000 to pay in taxes, penalty, interest and fees. Strangely enough, while the Harrises acknowledged the closure, the Facebook page of A-Town has new postings that give no hint of the shutter to possible hungry customers. Jesse Harris shared with the TV station that she was hoping to reopen at least one of the two pizzerias.

East Colfax lost a good one when Chow Urban Grill shuttered at 3570 East Colfax Avenue. Located in the same complex as Cerebral Brewing and Humble Pie, the one year old spot got great early reviews for its non-fussy contemporary food and stunning patio. That all came to an end last month. An announcement of the shutter on Facebook thanked loyal guests.
