Those who dream of indulging in exotic cheeses after an adventurous night on the town only have to wait a little while longer for downtown's Solutions Lounge & Restaurant; the restaurant and escape room is almost ready to unleash paradise on the corner of 22nd and California. Filling a 9,600-square-foot industrial space, the Solution's escape room and dining concept evokes a “Neo-Victorian steampunk” atmosphere for lunch and dinner guests, even those not taking the hour-long challenges.
Featuring seven themed escape rooms, including the JFK-era themed “Cuban Crisis,” the western setting of “Arizona Shootout” and the hacker-inspired environment of the “Th3 C0D3,” customers solve intricate riddles to extricate themselves from perilous locked rooms.
After the puzzle solving, adventurers can head to a 3,500-square-foot dining area and bar, planned to be open seven days a week and serving lunch, dinner and pouring a happy hour menu.
On the self-described “cheese-centric” food menu, choices such as fresh Caprese salads, mac n’ cheese creations, grilled cheese specialties, and artisanal cheese plates. Customers who order the fromage a Raclette will witness another theatrical performance, as the staff melts a wheel of semi-hard cow's milk cheese table-side, over a plate of vegetables and other snacks with a with a “steampunk-inspired device.” Seating will also be available on the outdoor patio.
The concept's booster team ROOT Public Relations confirms a previously penciled debut date of Oct. 6. Posted opening hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, closing at midnight on Friday and Saturday.
