Christmas just came early in Colorado. Actor Armie Hammer and his wife, entrepreneur and television personality Elizabeth Chambers, are currently scouting locations for a Denver outpost of their Bird Bakery, now based in Dallas and San Antonio. Hammer casually dropped the news yesterday to the Denver Post, during an interview about his upcoming film “On the Basis of Sex,” the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic.

“Get ready to see a lot of us in Denver, because we’re coming with a bakery and we can’t wait to feed you guys delicious baked goods,” he said. Though they haven’t settled on a location, Hammer added that it should be a quick process and buildout.

Chambers — a former model, actress, and TV host — grew up partially in Denver, and her parents are here still. When the couple come to town, they visit places like Hoong’s Palace and Bud’s Cafe and Bar, and now they want Bird Bakery to be a local gathering place starting with their own family. “When we’re there at the bakery, the in-laws will be there and we can bring the kids,” Hammer told the Post.

They opened the first Bird in San Antonio in 2012 and then expanded it to Dallas. Chambers now appears on shows like “Today” doing cooking segments, and she runs a very active Instagram account.
