A Maryland doughnut franchise is back in business in Denver under new ownership. Fractured Prune, which closed in 2017, will reopen at 6 a.m. on Thursday, February 15. It’s now located in Greenwood Village at 9696A East Arapahoe Road.

The shop specializes in build-your-own varieties with options for 19 glazes and 13 toppings. Customers can combine glazes such as honey, banana, mixed berry, and marshmallow with toppings including cookie crumbs, bacon, rainbow sprinkles, and sea salt. Pre-made specialty doughnuts range from the simpler honey glazed with cinnamon sugar to banana glazed with vanilla wafers and powdered sugar.

Fractured Prune started in 1976 in Ocean City, Maryland and has since expanded to 26 stores across the country. The original Fractured Prune in Denver opened in 2015 at 4090 East Mississippi Avenue and closed in 2017. While open, it made Eater’s guide to Denver’s essential doughnut shops.
